Feathermark Stencil Logo

My friend had previously had her photography business (Feathermark Photography) logo cut by laser. It looks great mounted on the outside wall of her studio. She wanted another sign to mount near the front of her house and asked me to make one. I reused her artwork and cut out a very detailed stencil in 2.0mm HW350. This is the Australian equivalent of Corten, which will rust very nicely and have a lovely warm patina. Naturally, I cannot compete with the precision of the laser, so to put my spin on the sign, I added a 12mm-deep box frame and filled the back with stainless steel.

The contrast between the two metals will be great.
